Hi

We have a Acer Aspire One netbook here.

The hard drive complete crashed & we couldn't recover the data from it. So we bought a new 160SATA 2.5" drive for it but now we can't install Windows XP without getting the hard drive controller for it.

I'm using an external DVD/CD with the Origional XP with Service pack 3.
Pc will not acknowledge that there is a SATA drive in the machine. When I push F6 to install the SATA drivers it can't see the Flash disk.

Is there a website I can download the SATA controller drivers so I can boot up with a Stiffy disk?

Here is the link to the Netbook but can't see a "boot disk" option to download.

Well, here's another ! :)

While using the Stumble Upon add on for Firefox, I found a rather useful list of freebie utilities - perhaps there are some that might interest you ?

Check out Best Freeware Programs: http://helpdeskgeek.com/free-tools-r...ware-programs/

Let's also not forget the Open Source Alternative which has some neat programs that sometimes seem even better than the pay for alternatives.

Please feel free to add any other useful sources to this thread.
