Default Blender - Open Source software for 3D modeling

Not sure if you guys know about this but I thought I'd share nonetheless. This seems to be similar to Maya I would assume although I do not anything about 3D modeling etc. It's also a portable app so no need to install anything, just launch it from anywhere.

    Download here.

Blender is the free open source 3D content creation suite, available for all major operating systems under the GNU General Public License. It can be used to model, shade, animate, render and composite and create interactive 3d models.

There are also free tutorials on the website, I'm sure there are more out there.
    These can be found here.

Here are a few renders that's been done in it. More can be seen here.

@VF & Bloodrayne. I know you guys play with 3D modeling, have you checked this out?

I found a pic of Doug_Dread on their website... Always wondered what you looked like behind your racing mask. Just kidding.

Yeah, I know about Blender but have never used it bofore.
I wish I had more time to learn, my aim is to teach myself more than using just one 3D modeling app. Blender is one of them.

You must be really dedicatedt to produce a program of that quality for free...

    Thanks for the post Ryno!
