Guys, I'm not opening a new thread for different pricing of uncapped ADSL...
One of the guys at the durban office send us a link in e-mail.
This is really flipping cheap - http://www.mweb.co.za/adsl/?p=default

The only problem I have with the mweb adsl idea is the fact that most of the time the routers are locked to mweb accounts only.

Nice!!
Only if you use an mweb router. If you use your own router you can have multiple accounts on the same router. Why you would want to use an mweb/telkom router is beyond me anyway, I would always go with your own router.
Just got the email that our mweb account will be upgraded to 4mbps uncapped by latest end of april. Great going mweb, means I will probably cancell my afrihost account and just use my dad's uncapped.

Well when I was looking at the Mweb deal it says it's shaped (which is okay if you leave a list of things in the AM it must download during the day when you're at work or asleep, but I guess gaming would be slower if you're an avid online gamer) and in the terms and conditions it says you cannot abuse mwebs bandwidth... then what's the point?!!!
Does anyone know if Mweb allows torrents/p2p?
Yeah I agree, some people are just too stupid to buy from Mweb and Telkom to be honest. I told my dad in the first place there is NO way I will buy from Telkom as I've heard all these horror stories involved in buying specifically targeted routers... So yeah it rocks to be able to switch to as many accounts as you want to without being limited at all.
The terms and conditions are outdated and will be updated next week. If you look at those you will also notice they still refer to base cap while with uncapped their is no base cap.
Its shaped during business hours but unshapped during of peaks hours( 8pm to 7 am on weekdays and weekends).
Mybroadband tested the mweb uncapped offering today, no gaming test though.:http://mybroadband.co.za/news/adsl/11829.html

Cool! I like it, I like it a lot! And the p2p/torrent thing?

I guess this would take the headache away of our capped offering for the internet café
