Haha, most of the guys on this forum are guys, Mr Micheal so I suppose you mean you'd like to meet some like minded individuals who share your interests in lan gaming :p

There are none males on this server? I believe they are called something like females or something like that? I don't see those a lot, though my male order bride, um I mean mail order bride is landing from an Eastern location tomorrow morning. On another note, Luke, lanning though I would like to say it, is dying a slow death, very few games over the last two years (in a released with lan vs released without lan percentage) have come out with lan capability. It's very sad and hurts me, I love the personal nature of a lan, knifing someone and then thanking him personally across the room, or the strat sessions before and after a good dota game about who did what, how and why. I do hope that somewhere there is a ray of hope for lan gaming and something can be done, but I fear deep down that the reality is that lan gaming is going to die out in terms of new games over the next two to five years.

Probably my punishment for all of those years of counter strike I played on campus while I should have been doing other stuff. But then again I met my girlfriend on campus chat and cs, so I guess it's not all bad.

O ja, forget that part, when I got stuck in my ramblings and disappointment about lan gaming.

Welcome to the forum Luke, good people, good topics, excellent advice, I'm sure this will better the IT side of your life Well and all other sides, depending of your choice if usage here. I joined here in 2007 but only had a standard internet connection of late so been a poster since then. Can't really say a day goes by I don't make a turn here, I actually check the front page news forums more than I check news24, the news is much more interesting and a lot less depressing. That reminds me, does any of the admins know, can we still contribute to the upkeep of the forums etc? Just need details.

Welcome to PcBg, Luke ! Even though newer games are not LAN friendly, we still LAN regularly in Gauteng. It won't be too many weeks before we have another crazy PcBg LAN in Edenvale.
Keep checking back to see when the next one will be held. Some of the more recent titles do have LAN support (like Borderlands) so all is not lost.
Let's hope that the trend to exclude LAN options does not continue - nothing quite beats face-to-face insults and melee attacks.
