    This doesn't work??

    Linux nForce Driver - AMD64/EM64T

    Version: 1.0-0310
    Release Date: November 23, 2005

    Release Highlights for 1.0-0310:
    • Adds support for nForce 430/410 motherboards
    • Adds support for 8-bit audio playback
    • Compatibility fixes
This page contains drivers and documentation for the nForce chipset. The chipset includes hardware support for IDE disk control, Ethernet networking, audio support, win modem support, and a USB controller. These packages have support for Ethernet networking and basic ACI audio. USB and IDE hardware will work with standard Linux drivers. There is no win modem support.
To download and install the drivers, follow the steps below:

STEP 1: Download the Driver File
    Download - NFORCE-Linux-x86_64-1.0-0310-pkg1.run

    STEP 2: Begin Installation
From within a shell with root privileges, type "sh NFORCE-Linux-x86_64-1.0-0310-pkg1.run" to initiate the installation.
STEP 3: Review the NVIDIA Software License. You will need to accept this license to continue with the installation.
STEP 4: Review the Known Problems for any special installation instructions required by your platform.

    STEP 5: Install
Follow the directions provided by the installer. The installer will prepare the driver and install the driver and application files in the appropriate place.

Note: For systems running a kernel for which there is no pre-built binary driver, the installer will need to build the driver. In order for the installer to build the driver, the kernel source needs to be installed.

    STEP 6: Review Documentation
Refer to the ReleaseNotes (HTML Version) file (installed in /usr/share/doc/nforce) for instructions on configuring the system with the installed drivers.

If you have any questions or problems, please check the linux discussion forum. If you don't find an answer to your question there, you can send email to linux-nforce-bugs@nvidia.com

What Distro are you using ?

    1. You need to install the Linux Kernel Source code which matches your current Kernel, try the RPM Manager.
    2. Then press CNTR + SHIFT + F1
    3. Log in as Root
    4. Type in Init 3
    5. sh /"your directory"/sh nvidia_package.run
    6. When finished type init 5

    All done, no restart needed.
