We try to deliver the best possible forum experience IT related, this the following changes will happen (11/11/2006);

Brand spanking new dedicated server, we will now have a Core 2 Duo with 2 Gig ram to serve your requirements, this server will run Suse 10.1 (Upgrade from Red Hat 8) with Apache 2.2.0 (Upgrade from Apache 1.3) and have a lekker large pipe on the Verizon backbone. The server will be managed by me in full as the need for a custom Linux system is not supported by hosting companies.

The current “Members Personal Blog” will be replaced with an actual web page per member, this will give you advantages such as:

• Allowing you to easily create a unique profile, interact with and meet new people, host pictures via photo albums, create a blog, customize your page to suite your needs, show off your car, and MUCH more. Yea, that’s right you can even create your own theme, each user will have its own little Content Management System.

And some other cool features:

• Approved dealers will now get a nice looking PCBG banner to be identified quicker.

• Users with a certain amount of reputation points will receive a professional PCBG certification by mail which may even be used in your CV.

• 5 New arcade games will be added to the arcade center.

• Some other extra features to the site added, but this will be a surprise

Hope this will keep you busy over the festive season …

PS: This project is postponed until next weekend 20 November 2006 due to server complications.
