    Default How To Hamachi

    Hi Guys

    Before you bite my head off for starting another thread while there are threads about this. I have read them and it's not what i am looking for.

    Last Night Rockspider and myself installed HAMACHI so we could try and connect and play a game between the two of us. "UT2004".

    We must have spent at least a hour trying to no avail. I would create a server and rock would join, I would then host a game and rock would try and connect but with no luck he would see the hosted game for about a sec and then it would disappear.

    I disabled my firewall so that is not the problem.

    Zizzy tried to give us a hand and then suggested that we connect to PCBG's Hamachi server. And bingo we could play we played DECK17 and Rock owned me.

    Now my question is what is the difference between PCBG"s config and ours.

    If anyone has good knowelage on setting up HAMACHI please can you assist. Keep it plain and simple.

    Rock: if there is anything i forgot to mention please feel free to add

    Dude i have been playing Supreme Commander online over Haimachi and it is awesome. Mostly because i can't play on GPNet *cough cough*.

    The way we did it is:
    1. Install Hiamachi
    2. Do a little setup
    3. The create a new network
    4. tell yr mates the name and password
    5. add the network, and join
    6. wait till u can see each other on Haimachi
    7. Open up the game
    8. And Tada theres games in LAN, just like normal LAN game

    i no u problably know all this but maybe i filled in a gap somewhere, sorry if it doesn't help, i am a noob at this Haimichi stuff myself.
    Ummm... do u know that it create a new connection in yr connection manager, make sure that it is not disabled, or blocked.
    Firewalls should not hamper the connections.

    Do u have McAffee or some other prog that might be owning Haimachi.
    Ah, but u say u can connect to the PCBG one! Well whats wrong with that!
    i didn't even know PCBG had a VPN. Can i get the details over PM then Revilo.

    I would love a couple games of UT2004 with u guys. Can u guys contact me when u gonna play. Maybe we can also organise some FEAR too.

    Perhaps you set up the network wrong, <---- Speculation

    Ah ! My favourite colour - it matches my eyes.

    We changed too many variables to be absolutely certain of why we could eventually play UT2004.
    Flatout 2 flatout (pun) refused to be talked into finding LAN games - it seems to be too impatient when looking for a hosted game.
    UT2004 would show on every other setup we tried for a second on the list of servers in the game and then disappear.
    It finally fired up when I hosted UT2004 while we were logged into PCBG Hamachi 'server'.

    We'll need to experiment some more to see if it wasn't just one of those days ...

    I was impressed by the pings we were getting in UT2004 (50-70) and it played as smooth as baby's bottom.

    Good Day, I'm new at the forums..
    I would like to play Ut2004 via hamachi on PCBG's Server ( as the above posts say )
    Can someone PM me the passcode of the PCBG's hamachi server? (if it still exists)
    Thank You,

    (I know this is a very old topic so it might be very stupid of me to post here)

    Hey there Silverlance... welcome to the forums

    We tried quite a long time to play UT2004 over hamachi but it never worked out. Pings were really bad and there were a number of connection issues so we eventually gave up.

    It been quite a while since we made the server... I can't even remember the name or the passcode.

    I am sure that there is a great version of hamachi by now. Think pings might be better. But you never know until you try.

    I know I was the original creator of the PcBg server, but I forgot the password. You can always feel free to create one. I'm sure lots of people will play when a server is up and running again.

    I wouldn't mind creating it again, but I am really busy atm and have no time.

    Otherwise you can always just go the GG-Client way.

    Edit: Found it.

    PCBG = server
    PCBG = Pass
    You will have to find people to join you first if you wanna play there. Otherwise try:

    Server = ZaGamerz
    Pass = nkosi
