    Icon14 Downtime : PCBG to be moved (16 June 2007)

    Pcbuyersguide will be moved to a new server 16 June 2007, please expect some downtime.

    For those wondering why we moving;

    We got a new sponsor that will be globally announced and thanked on Monday, because of this the server will need to be moved to its own Dedicated server.

    Server location will be from JHB (Hetzner) moved to CPT (Hetzner).

    The advantages:

    Expect performance increase as PCBG will be dedicated to this server.

    Regards,

    Way to go, Titan. Hopefully the sponsor will make it easier on the pocket as I can appreciate how the increased traffic can push up costs.
    To make the forum run even faster is a plus as always and is something to be really happy about.

    Thanks for your superb efforts !

    PS. We really don't mind as long as you keep the downtime to under 5 minutes - I need to play all the games in the Arcade that I haven't played as yet.

    I have always found PCBG to be a pretty fast website to load. Now it will be even faster.

    Awesome Titan! Grats!

    I haven't been on pcbg while the move was made. I was uninfected!
