Default Uncapped ADSL & Proxy for International RPG & Strategy Games

    From the service Nukecap :

So more and more people started to moan bout unplayable latency during the day in various RPG or Strategy games hosted overseas. I then went to find out some prices from various providers and came up with a very cheap structure compared to others doing the same. Atm its about covering the cost more than anything else.

For all World of Warcraft, Dark Age of Camelot, Everquest/2, etc. fans and many others RPG or Strategy based games fans should contact me with the game name and bandwidth statistics for hourly down/up. Chances it will be supported is very good, we dont support bandwidth hungry FPS games.

Ok now to the cost. We have 2 packages for this atm:

1.) Non-NukeCAP Proxy Member : R150 / month : 1 user per account : no browsing, this line is only for gaming. (access is restricted)

2.) NukeCAP Proxy Member : R100 / month : 1 user per account : no browsing, this line is only for gaming. (access is restricted)

Thats about it, anyone interested feel free to contact me lowping@nukecap.co.za or check out http://www.nukecap.co.za on the index page is a news topic with signup. You can also come chat on irc snow.shadowfire.org #lowping.

Id really love to make this last, so far the response was pretty good but only numbers can keep this service lasting. As soon as I hit 15 users the price will drop to R120 / month for Non-NukeCAP Members and even more with more users.

Other than this Service Im trying to get of its feet, we also offer uncapped proxy at low month cost to use after your 3 GIG ADSL Cap. Check out the website for more details regarding both Solutions.

This type of service is needed as there is not allot of rpg / strategy servers to choose from here in our tiny SA....

Ye main concern was raised by ADSL users that get shaped from here to kingdom come. This does in fact help ALOT.

For the more serious Gamers and general Internet users out there, in need of unshaped without the extra hop currently on lowping's side I will be putting up a box for any games. FPS games etc all will be playable internationally with around 200-250ms, any lower than that would be impossible from any South-African network, even if your on isdn.

This service will be running at a per gig cost, atm Im looking at offering this over VPN when it gets available and will run at R220 per gig. Ill work on a structure where Ill give discount on higher packages bought ie. Telkom unshaped 4gig cost R980 / month where I can offer 4gig unshaped for R800 per month.

We will still offer the R150 / month package and drop it to R120 as advertised when enough users signup.

The 2 different packages will be working in different ways, realisticly the R220 / gig would work out more than the R150 / month, but the reliability and uptime will be 99.9% and we have to pay per gig to host it. Also, whatever you plan to use it for will be accessable at full line speed for every customer as its hosted on a 100mbit pipe.

This would effectively make it the cheapest dedicated unshaped per gig offering in SA, which is good I recon

So for the mean time, users interested in either of these packages should go for the R150 / month package till we have the dedicated host box up on the 100mbit uunet network, then when you decide that the R150 / month is not cutting it for your needs ie. people who want to play FPS games, then you can switch over to the R220 per gig hosting.

Ill keep everyone signed up, and wanting to signup posted regarding the hosting box once it is up.
