Here is the long awaited LAN announcement for our 1st LAN for 2013. Space availability has been a bit of an unknown factor with changes happening on the domestic front, but I've decided to bite the bullet and charge headlong into arranging a LAN at my place, regardless.

Next, games under consideration : Split/Second, COD, UT, DemiGod.

Now that we have internet connectivity at our LANs we can also consider titles like Borderlands 2 and Far Cry 3.


As per usual, there will be a bring and braai scenario (only meat required). Rolls / salad / sauces will be available.

Ooh LAN.  Well, the 9th is out for me, as is any date after that for sometime.  I'm going to the DRC again next week (the 13th) and have no idea when I will be back, but it shouldn't be more than two weeks/year.

*Edit* Seems like the DRC visit will be about 3-4 weeks, so basically I'm out for Feb.

For sure. The BBQ's have gone down well at the last few LANs - so we'll see you there !

Once we "hear" from characters like SLicK (Sansui or Senshi ... or something like that) and Calvin&Hobbs (Eric the Viking or Kat's Wink) we might be able to settle on a firm date.

As far as I'm concerned, the sooner the better.

Let's have the LAN on the 23rd February so that there will be enough time for the other guys to see this thread (or be told by other guys). Will someone please inform the non-regular PCBG visitors like Firestrm_ZA and M4nimal via phone ?

This LAN is definitely overdue and I hope that attendance will be good.

I remember a LAN from years gone by. It was the one when Ionflux entertained us with his skateboarding skills. I brought an out of town buddy along, Iceman. We lined up those beer bottles so that they covered our tower cases. Never again. #puke
