It would have been easier to post our scores if your score wasn't so astronomical. :D
It seems that 3DMark 11 is every bit as Cpu biased as its predecessor, making it a rather less than useful gaming benchmark.
With my sad E8400 @ 3GHz and pathetic HD5850 @ stock I score a touch over 3,000. According to 3DMark it's a miracle that I can play any game whatsoever. :P

True it is very CPU bound, it is more of an overall PC performance test.
Very pretty tests :P.

How can tell if my score is decent if I have nothing to compare it too? :D

Very nice score bud.

I like the comparison thing:
http://3dmark.com/co...73/3dm11/306033

You can see that my OC'ed CPU had a huge effect on the score.

Yes, I am actually considering an OC to see what effect it has. I also see that I am using v 1.01 of the bench and you are using 1.0. On the GFX Side it seems to be a close match, but alas the CPU physX burns me, luckily I don't use the CPU PhysX, since that is the main reason for me buying the 9600GT.

Also see your clocks are reported incorrectly.

Strange though that 2 5970's would beat 2 5870's with barely 1 frame and otherwise. Don't quite get that and I am not sure that is correct. My understanding was that the 5970 would easily take 2 5870's, and when you do actual game sessions this is aparent.

Maybe 3DMark is a bit out on this as well.

Did you see the full score listing? Check out the guy that is in 1ste place and 2nd place. That is close as hell to one another and a good advert for the 6xxx series cards.

I have one HD5970, it is slower than your XFire setup in games and always has been. Your core clocks are higher than those of the GPU's on the stock HD5970, almost 100Mhz.

I bumped mine up a bit because of this although there is no real need but the temps are still fine.

I agree with you around CPU physics (not PhysX as that is nVidia technology). I would prefer a dedicated card, I wish though that ATi and nVidia would give up on the power struggle for their own physics/native c++ support and standardize it so that it can be utilized more predominately.

I don't believe you. :P So if I OC my E8500 @ run my GTX460 Hawk at stock I'll get over 3400 +/-? :)

I run all my games I have(not many at the moment) at 1920x1080 & on High to Ultra High in game settings without an issue. Need for Speed 11 & Crysis 2 have never looked better. :P

So I agree with Rockspider if it's mostly CPU based program. :)
